What can SmoothEye do for your eye contour?
SmoothEye treats the skin around the eyes with an Er:YAG laser. Controlled heat initiates a repair response and supports collagen remodelling. This can gradually make the skin look smoother, firmer and more even.
The treatment is primarily intended for fine dehydration lines, slightly crepey skin and mild laxity of the upper or lower eyelids. The result remains natural and is more subtle than eyelid surgery.

We assess your eye contour, skin quality and expectations. If a medical cause is possible or surgery appears more suitable, we discuss this honestly.
Preparation and eye protection
The skin is cleansed and, if necessary, prepared according to the selected protocol. Appropriate eye protection is used during treatment.
Laser treatment
The Er:YAG laser heats the skin in a controlled manner. You will usually feel increasing warmth; the settings are adapted to your skin and the treatment area.
Cooling and aftercare
Afterwards, you receive personalised skincare and sun-protection instructions. The skin may temporarily be red or swollen.
Improvement develops step by step
Collagen remodelling takes time. We therefore do not assess the effect immediately after a single session.
Two treatments
The course consists of two sessions with a three-week interval. If necessary, further treatment is evaluated individually.
Gradual change
Once the skin has recovered, it may look fresher and smoother. Further tightening develops gradually over the following weeks and months.
Realistic results
The aim is improvement, not a completely smooth eye contour. Age, skin quality, anatomy and lifestyle influence the final result.

What can you expect after SmoothEye?
Warmth, redness and swelling around the eyes may occur. The reaction varies with the treatment intensity.
The skin may feel dry or sensitive and may flake slightly. Swelling is often more noticeable in the morning.
The visible skin reaction subsides. Protect the area carefully from the sun and follow your practitioner’s product instructions.

Clear answers to your questions
Will my under-eye bags disappear completely?
No, we cannot promise that. SmoothEye can improve the skin around the eyes and soften mild bags caused by skin laxity. Pronounced fat bags or structural swelling will not disappear with this laser treatment.
Does SmoothEye treat dark circles?
No. Dark circles occur when fine blood vessels become visible through the thin skin beneath the eyes. SmoothEye focuses on skin quality, fine lines and limited laxity, but does not treat these vessels.
Is the treatment painful?
You mainly feel warmth that gradually builds during the treatment. Most people tolerate this well. We adapt the preparation, settings and any anaesthesia to the selected protocol.
When will I see results?
Once redness and swelling have subsided, the skin may already look fresher. Collagen remodelling is gradual, so the result continues to develop in the weeks and months after the treatment course.
Can SmoothEye be performed in summer?
Because good UV protection is essential, we prefer to schedule this treatment outside periods of significant sun exposure. Discuss sunny holidays beforehand; your practitioner will determine when treatment is safe and sensible.
Who is not eligible?
We do not treat, among other situations, an active skin infection or irritation in the area. Pregnancy, certain medication, recent sun exposure, previous eye procedures and eye or skin conditions must always be reported during the consultation. After assessment, the practitioner decides whether and when treatment is appropriate.
