Laser facelift
A multi-layer treatment that improves skin quality, stimulates collagen and subtly refines facial contours — without surgery.

What is a laser facelift?
A Fotona 4D® laser facelift is not a surgical facelift. It combines two complementary laser wavelengths: Nd:YAG works in the deeper skin layers, while Er:YAG can target the skin surface. This allows several layers of the skin to be treated in a single session.
The controlled heat stimulates a repair response and supports collagen production and remodelling. Over time, the skin may appear firmer, smoother and fresher.
What happens during treatment?
The Fotona 4D concept combines several treatment modes. At Belgian Beauty Clinic, we tailor the intensity and focus areas to your skin, preferred recovery time and goals.
SmoothLiftin™
The inside of the mouth is treated with Er:YAG. Controlled heat targets the area around the mouth and the nasolabial folds.
SmoothEye™
The skin around the eyes is treated specifically to support collagen stimulation for fine lines and under-eye bags.
BBC protocolFRAC3®
Short Nd:YAG pulses create dispersed thermal microzones in deeper skin layers, focusing on texture and local irregularities.
PIANO®
Safe, even heating of the deeper skin supports collagen remodelling and a subtly firmer skin feel.
Tailored laser peel
The superficial Er:YAG step refines skin texture. From a light refresh to a more intensive peel, the depth influences redness and recovery time.
Every skin is different
Pigmentation, skin type, sensitivity and previous treatments determine which settings are safe and appropriate. The protocol is therefore always assessed individually.
What can the treatment improve?
- Early skin laxity and less defined contours
- Fine lines and dull-looking skin
- Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
- Under-eye bags and fine lines around the eyes
- The skin around the mouth and nasolabial folds
When do we postpone or avoid treatment?
This includes active skin infections, a cold sore in the treatment area, recent intense sun exposure or tanned skin. Certain medication, pregnancy, wound-healing problems and a history of pigment reactions also require additional assessment.
Always tell us about your medication, skin conditions and planned sunny holidays during your assessment. This helps us determine what is safe for you.

What can you expect?
Once the skin has recovered, it often already looks fresher and smoother. Collagen production and remodelling continue gradually, so the effect may keep developing over the weeks and months following the sessions.
A course ideally consists of three sessions, approximately four weeks apart. How visible the result is varies with skin quality, age, lifestyle and the chosen intensity.
The aim is improvement, not changing your face. We cannot promise a result identical to an example photograph.
After your laser treatment
Warm and red
The skin may feel warm, red and sensitive. Cooling and the recommended aftercare help it settle.
Recovery according to intensity
Downtime is limited after a light peel. A more intensive peel may cause more redness, swelling, dryness and flaking.
Protect against UV
Use a high SPF every day and avoid the sun and tanning beds for four weeks before and four weeks after every session.

The treatment is tailored to your skin and the chosen peel level. A full course usually consists of three sessions.

Can’t find your question? Feel free to contact us. We will be happy to assess whether this treatment is right for you.
Is a laser facelift the same as a surgical facelift?
No. Laser treatment can improve skin quality and mild laxity, but it does not remove excess skin or reposition deeper tissue. A surgical facelift may be more appropriate for more pronounced laxity.
Does the treatment hurt?
The sensation varies by step and intensity. You may feel heat, small prickling sensations or a burning feeling. A numbing cream may be applied before the peel.
How long does one session take?
Allow around one and a half hours for preparation, possible numbing, treatment and aftercare.
Can I have the treatment during summer?
We prefer to schedule the full 4D treatment outside the sunnier months. Strong UV exposure increases the risk of pigment changes and must be avoided before and after treatment.
How long do the results last?
The ageing process continues. Longevity therefore varies between individuals and depends on factors including skin quality, sun exposure, smoking and skincare. A maintenance treatment can be discussed later.
